Aerodynamics

The Invisible Physics of Flight

How do airplanes manage to get up into the sky and stay there? Kids carefully consider the invisible forces involved in flight as they build small wooden and foam airplanes, as well as helicopters.
Through hands-on experiments, children will learn about Bernoulli’s Principle and the mysterious Coanda effect. They will deepen their understanding of them by comparing movement in space and water.  Best of all, kids will test fly their projects and take them home!
