Junior FIRST LEGO® League (Jr. FLL)

Grades 1-3

What the Olympics are for sports and the Nobel Prize is to science, FIRST Robotics is to kid’s engineering. 

Take part in the most prestigious robotics competition for youth in the world this fall by joining Celsius and Beyond team.  You will learn about project management, robotics design, analytical thinking, problem shooting and best of all: working as team. 

Introducing young minds to the exiting worlds of science and technology, our team will be given a real world challenge on September 2nd.  The team will work together to solve the challenge through research, critical thinking and their imagination.  Guided by our award winning couch, the team will work with LEGO and moving parts to create a solution and will present them for review at the regional FIRST meeting.

Our team will be headed by an experienced and award winning FIRST instructor. 

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an organization helping young people discover and develop a passion for science.  FIRST was founded 20 years ago by MIT scientists and last year attracted 200,000 students from 51 countries. See for yourself!

Fee:
$540 for the entire program
Fee includes all materials, competition fees and snacks
Fee excludes transportation and lodging at completion (traditionally held in Sacramento)
No refunds for any reason unless the program was cancelled by Celsius and Beyond. 
Depending on this year’s challenge difficulty, additional hours may be added in November.  Fee not to exceed $16hr.
