Giant Geometry

SFUSD Professional Development Day – Monday, April 23, 2012

Come with us to AT&T Park and discover how geometry defines the way baseball is played and understand how the stadium is shaped.  We will learn the role of many types of triangles and squares in the game and the relationships between them.  On the field we will learn hands-on about the Pythagorean Theorem.  We will then be treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of San Francisco Giants’ headquarters and end the day with a fun baseball game at the Barry Bonds Junior Giants Field.

Grades: 2nd to 5th
9am-4pm / Extended care: 8-9am / 4-6pm at $10/hr
$95
